Josephine Lethbridge

My name is Josephine. I am a writer, researcher and media consultant based in London.

I’ve bridged the worlds of research and journalism for the past decade. I spent eight years as an editor at The Conversation UK, where I launched a series of innovative formats including Insights, a section dedicated to longform investigations, and trained hundreds of academics how to write for the public.

Since then, alongside my freelance journalism, I’ve partnered with a wide range of organisations, from academic institutions such as the University of Sussex and Max Planck Institute, to grassroots initiatives like Faculty for a Future. I work with my clients to craft evidence-based stories and interventions that use research to spark positive social change, whether in the form of news stories, investigations, toolkits, research write-ups or websites. I also deliver training.
